If you are scrolling by and thinking to yourself that you don't have time for meditation or that you don't need it, then that means you need it even more! Meditation has been shown to have many great health benefits, including relief from stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia and fatigue to name a few. I am adding meditation to my site as I have found a lot of poor movement patterns are the result of too much tension and stress in the body. When our body is stuck with the sympathetic nervous system firing it believes it is in fight or flight mode at all times. Meditation is one of the best ways to get out of fight or flight mode and into the parasympathetic nervous system to have a better quality of life with a well rounded mind and body practice.
In this first meditation, the focus is on tension release. Grab whatever props you need to make yourself comfortable.
